Media development is slow and expensive

Traditional media development holds back bioprocess scale-up. It's labour-intensive and slow, driving costs and delaying product roadmaps. This prevents much-needed products in the food system and medicine from reaching their market potential.

AI and automation accelerate lab-to-market

Multus develops new technologies specifically to streamline media development. We create machine learning models and integrate them with lab automation systems, so we’re able to handle the scale and complexity of optimization experiments.

How it works

Handling complexity

For each cell, we screen tens of potential ingredients to identify a formulation optimized for cell-specific requirements. We use high-dimensional machine learning models to handle the data complexity.

Automating experimentation

We automate every step of the process: experiment planning, media preparation, cell culturing, data collection and data analysis. With efficient decision-making driven by our machine learning models, we significantly reduce the time spent in the lab.

Enabling growth

We develop new formulations from the ground up, providing flexibility in composition and licensing. We create unique partnerships for customers who share our ambition to grow a sustainable bioeconomy.

Trusted by

The Multus media development team are extremely efficient and knowledgable and have taken the hassle out of the complex media optimization process. We’ve seen impressive formulation results in a short period of time due to their innovative and high-throughput media development pipeline.
